Nadine has substantial experience in successfully and efficiently representing major foreign and domestic manufacturers and distributors in the consumer product, equipment and automotive industries in product liability and toxic tort litigation. She focuses her practice on protecting her clients, their brands and their products, even before any potential lawsuit is ever filed.
She has served as national coordinating counsel in the defense of lawsuits arising from product liability, warranty, negligence, and related claims, and has served as New York and New Jersey trial counsel in the defense of product liability claims and toxic tort claims in the realm of asbestos litigation.
Because of how she is able to connect to her clients and their cases, Nadine is known for taking a fresh and innovative approach in every aspect of litigation, from early pleadings stages through sophisticated multifaceted discovery, dispositive motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial.
A few examples of her experience include:
- Coordinated the national defense of a major international automotive manufacturer and its domestic distribution arm against toxic tort claims in the realm of asbestos litigation and product liability claims related to vehicle stability, airbags and restraints, crashworthiness, seats, fuel systems, braking systems, electrical systems and control modules, computer software, and other vehicle componentry.
- Acted as local trial counsel in New York and New Jersey for several major international automotive manufacturers and domestic distributors in the defense of toxic tort claims and product liability claims.
- Defense of leading automotive manufacturers in multiple nationwide class actions involving claims of consumer and commercial fraud, deceptive and unfair business practices, false advertising, product defect, breach of express and implied warranty, violation of consumer protection statutes, and similar claims. These cases involved various vehicle components including fuel systems, autonomous braking systems, electric and computer systems, air intake and sunroof design.
Prior to entering private practice, Nadine served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin (retired) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Hon. Bernard J. Fried (retired) in the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court, New York County.
