In the face of the increasing public health threat of COVID-19, I want to express our deep commitment to the safety and health of our professionals, our clients and the communities in which we work and live. As of now, we have no reported or confirmed cases of COVID-19 related to our people at any of our offices.
Barnes & Thornburg has assembled a team that is assessing the situation daily, remaining vigilant, and following all recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local authorities.
The firm is following the CDC’s interim guidance for businesses and employers in order to plan and respond to COVID-19 as appropriate for our business. We have implemented many safety precautions in each of our offices, including directing our people to stay home if they present symptoms and advising us of potential exposure. We continue to reinforce office protocols to maintain the healthiest workplace possible.
We are preparing so that we may continue to provide the timely and quality legal services that you rely on. In addition, we are regularly sharing guidance with our professionals and staff so they are fully informed on how to protect themselves, their families and their clients against this and other viruses.
We are focused on continued service to our clients, and also have plans in place should the need arise for any portion of our team to work remotely. We have infrastructure in place to ensure that you have continued access to our team.
We reassure you that our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of our team, clients and families and we will continue to work diligently to help keep everyone in our communities safe.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we may provide any further assistance.
Wishing you good health always,
Robert T. Grand
