Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added new attorneys to its Atlanta, Dallas and Los Angeles offices. The new attorneys are:
Fayez Butt is an associate in the Dallas office of Barnes & Thornburg. As a member of the Intellectual Property Department, he prepares and prosecutes domestic and foreign patent applications, mainly in the areas of computer science, e-commerce, telecommunications and business methods arts. Butt works with clients to develop strategies for obtaining patent protection consistent with business plans. Butt earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law with a certificate in patent law. He graduated from DePaul University with a B.S.
Rebecca Rosen is an associate in Barnes & Thornburg’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Corporate Department. Rosen advises clients on corporate formation, corporate governance, contracts and other issues. Rosen earned her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. She earned her B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of California, Berkeley.
Michael Ward is of counsel in Barnes & Thornburg’s Atlanta office and is a member of the Real Estate Department. With more than 25 years of integrated legal, business and transactional experience with a primary focus on commercial real estate, Ward assists clients with their real estate acquisition and development needs. He focuses his practice in real estate and development (single and mixed-use); land use and entitlements; leasing; licensing; construction; lease-purchase transactions; commercial, tax-exempt and subsidized financing; affordable housing and economic development; and various related tax matters. Ward earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law. He earned his B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. Ward is a certified public accountant in Texas and Alabama.
