Topics to be discussed through the lens of the pandemic include:
- Victor Vital will cover commercial and contract considerations related to or caused by the current pandemic, such as supply-chain disruptions, delays or cancellations or modifications regarding the delivery of goods and services, He will discuss who should bear the risk of economic loss and how should losses be accounted for and allocated) in view of contract law, common-law and statutory law.
- Rob Castle will talk about heightened challenges facing healthcare providers, such as government enforcement actions and investigations, patient claims, home care-provider specific issues, and state medical board investigations
- Charlie Edwards will discuss insurance for defense and indemnity against COVID-related lawsuits
- Garrett Llewellyn and Kristen Richer will take a look at the current class action landscape, emerging trends and recent types of class actions filed
- Kathleen Anderson will address the range of potential labor and employment potential litigation risks resulting from employers making quick decisions without clear real-time interpretative guidance, including those related to pandemic orders and statutes; existing federal and state statutes; contracts; and other issues
