Program Description: Hear about the psychosocial aspects of aging and Alzheimer’s disease and the clinical and research advancements regarding Alzheimer’s from Mary Guerriero Austrom, Ph.D., director of the education core at the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center at the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Guerriero’s work as a professor in the IU School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry includes developing non-pharmacological interventions for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, and ways to improve quality of life of their caregivers.
