Phil represents syndicators, investors, developers and lenders in real estate and investment transactions, including low-income housing credits, historic tax credits and new markets tax credits.
He has counseled syndicators and institutional investors in connection with highly complex tax credit and affordable housing transactions with multi-tiered debt and equity structures, including mixed finance, rural development, Section 8, RAD and tax exempt bond financings. Phil also advises on workouts and asset management for such transactions.
Phil continuously strives to deliver not only an in-depth understanding of the law and its application to the deal at hand, but also knowledge of his client’s business and industry standards. In addition, Phil values relationships not only with clients, but also with the professionals and regulators who drive this industry. Notably, some of Phil’s clients have remained with him for more than 15 years and appreciate his ability to manage the disparate goals of deal constituents in general.
Phil is a frequent speaker on the subject of affordable housing, community development and low-income housing tax credits. Engaging and down-to-earth, Phil is committed to establishing immediate rapport, trust and credibility across many audiences.
