CHICAGO – Barnes & Thornburg announced today that it has awarded a 2020 Diversity Scholarships to Corrine Conway, a first-year student at the University of Illinois College of Law. She will work in the firm’s Chicago office.

During her law school career, Conway has served as a volunteer for the Public Interest Law Foundation and Student Legal Relief. She also was a Jumpstart Program participant in 2019. She received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from Marquette University. She graduated from the honors college, receiving the 2019 Klingler College of Arts and Sciences Gold Medal Award.

Conway’s late father, Camille, was a partner in Barnes & Thornburg’s Chicago office and the firm presents an internal diversity award in his honor each year.
The scholarship is open to first-year law students with a demonstrated commitment to positive change on the diversity, inclusion and equity front and to contributing meaningfully to the diversity, inclusion and equity goals of Barnes & Thornburg and the legal profession. Two other scholarships were awarded to students who will work in the firm’s Indianapolis and South Bend offices.
