Amber represents a range of clients in litigation matters such as complex commercial disputes, corporate bankruptcy proceedings, securities and business fraud, mortgage-backed securities litigation, and Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) actions, as well as Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations.
Amber is a skilled legal writer, crafting poignant and compelling legal arguments ranging from summary judgment motions to trial and appellate briefs. She is eloquent and savvy in depositions and during trial – having been involved in countless civil and criminal cases and more than 20 appellate actions.
Bringing deep courtroom experience to her clients, Amber started her career with Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft LLP, one of America’s oldest law firms, in New York, where she gained litigation skills representing individuals and a wide range of corporations. After several years in practice in New York, she returned to Indiana and turned to family law and criminal defense work in her own law firm, handling divorce, legal separation, paternity, custody, parenting time, child support, grandparent visitation, and guardianship cases.
In addition to running her full-time private practice, Amber was a public defender in Delaware County, defending clients in virtually all types of criminal cases from misdemeanors to felonies, as well as in jury and bench trials. Amber is a certified family law mediator and a guardian ad litem.
Amber’s clients trust her because she focuses on building and fostering relationships, allowing her to better understand them and give them a voice in complex disputes.
