A highly skilled negotiator, Jeremy also served as a federal mediator and has conducted hundreds of successful mediation conferences.
Following his federal service, Jeremy was a partner at Barnes & Thornburg until 2013, serving as a litigator and counselor to for-profit and nonprofit employers of all sizes, including one of the largest private employers in the world and a host of national associations. Jeremy left to become general counsel of a large national medical association, where he served as chief legal officer for the association and its six affiliated 501(c)(3) entities. Jeremy’s time as general counsel helped inform his practical and collaborative approach to legal issues. He knows first-hand that clients value communication, responsiveness and efficiency, and he makes those qualities a priority in his practice.
Jeremy rejoined the firm in 2023 after serving as principal at another firm’s nonprofit and employment practice groups. He has represented clients in a broad range of industries and fields, including healthcare, education, retail, hospitality and manufacturing.
An accomplished litigator, Jeremy’s true strength is his ability to identify issues early and work creatively with clients to mitigate risk. Jeremy’s approach to risk mitigation includes working with clients on highly effective harassment and discrimination training programs and individual coaching for staff, executives and board members. Jeremy has provided group and individual training to thousands of people across many industries, from small medical practices to hospitals, universities, the federal government, Fortune 100 companies, and a wide range of national nonprofit associations.
A recognized leader in his field, Jeremy coordinates multi-specialty actions in federal court on behalf of a coalition of medical specialty groups and serves as Chair of the General Counsels section of the Council of Medical Specialty Societies.
