Joseph's practice spans complex commercial litigation and construction disputes in both state and federal court, as well as white-collar matters. Before joining Barnes & Thornburg, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable William P. Johnson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, where he drafted memorandum opinions and orders, prepared bench memoranda, provided trial support, and managed an active and unique docket. That clerkship,  combined with his experience as a litigator, gives him practical insight into navigating the judicial process favorably for his clients.

Joseph's commercial litigation practice is broad and versatile. He handles matters ranging from breach of contract and business disputes to trade secrets and tort claims, and he leverages his extensive knowledge of state and federal procedure to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. A significant component of Joseph's practice is rooted in the construction industry. He advises owners, contractors, and other stakeholders on contract review and negotiation, prosecutes and defends construction-related claims, and handles residential construction disputes arising under the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act. His familiarity with construction contracts and industry dynamics allows him to spot issues early and position clients for favorable outcomes.
