In particular, Albert advises multinational strategic and private equity clients on transaction tax structuring, tax diligence, and a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and dispositions.
He coordinates with tax teams across multiple jurisdictions and assesses relevant U.S. and international accounting, tax, and corporate issues. Through such analysis, Albert helps clients implement tax-efficient organizational structures in connection with inbound and outbound negotiated and multiple-bid auction transactions, and is dedicated to crafting and offering clients strategic U.S. and non-U.S. tax advice.
In addition, Albert works with private investment fund clients on the tax aspects of fund formations, financings, and compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Albert refined his comprehensive transactional tax skills working in the New York office of a global law firm and with a Big Four accounting firm. Before turning to private practice and during law school, he was a legal extern with the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel and a summer associate with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
