Barnes & Thornburg Recognized For Extraordinary Pro Bono Services

The ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service has honored Barnes & Thornburg for its pro bono service in 2021. The ABA committee annually acknowledges law firms, individual attorneys, corporate legal departments and other organizations for their participation in the ABA Free Legal Answers program. The firm was recognized for answering 75 or more civil legal questions in the 2021 calendar year.

The Free Legal Answers program is a virtual legal clinic through which income-eligible clients can post civil legal services questions to be answered by attorneys from their state free of charge.

Barnes & Thornburg has a long tradition of pro bono service nationally, regionally, and at the local level to persons of lesser means and to nonprofit organizations. The time our attorneys devote to legal and civic pro bono work is valued equally with standard legal services provided to traditional clients.

With more than 700 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, Boston, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
