WASHINGTON D.C. – Barnes & Thornburg attorneys Michael A. Carrillo and Roscoe C. Howard Jr. have been named to the fifth Lawyers of Color Power List.
The Power List, presented with the support of the Diverse Partners Network, honors the most influential minority attorneys and allies in the nation. The list includes general counsel from Fortune 1000 companies, law school deans, legal media and nonprofit leaders, and law firm managing partners or management committee members.
Mr. Carrillo is the managing partner of the Chicago office and a member of the firm’s management committee. As an intellectual property attorney, Mr. Carrillo focuses on patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters, as well as foreign and domestic patent and trademark protection. He helps clients develop and manage intellectual property portfolios of all sizes and also assists financial institutions in preparing and negotiating licenses for online banking software and technology.
Mr. Howard is the managing partner of the Washington, D.C., office and a member of the firm’s management committee. Mr. Howard’s practice focuses on white collar criminal matters, complex litigation, corporate compliance, and ethics issues. He advises corporate and individual clients throughout the criminal defense process including civil and administrative litigation, grand jury subpoenas, multijurisdictional matters and congressional inquiries.
