Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added new attorneys to its Chicago and Indianapolis offices. The new attorneys are:
Chicago
R. Joseph Kave is an associate in the Chicago office and is a member of the Litigation Department. He has represented corporate clients across several industries, including automotive, pharmaceutical, and energy. Kave has also litigated complex matters involving various issues of law, including contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, civil RICO claims, mass tort and employment discrimination.
In 2010, Kave earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. He was as an editor for the University of Illinois Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. In 2006, he earned his B.S., summa cum laude, from the New York Institute of Technology.
Julia L. Santullano is an associate in the Chicago office. As a member of the Private Client Services Practice Group, Santullano focuses her practice on estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, trust and estate administration, probate, guardianship, and probate litigation. Santullano has experience in crafting complex estate plans and settling large estates, and she has represented both individual and corporate fiduciaries. She frequently advises clients regarding the estate and income tax implications of planning for the disposition of substantial retirement assets while working to achieve clients' personal planning objectives.
In 2006, Santullano earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. In 2002, Santullano earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Indianapolis
Michael P. Gieger is an associate in the Corporate Department in the Indianapolis office. With a focus on private equity transactions, Gieger works with clients in connection with their investing activities, including fund formations and re-capitalizations, private equity fund investments, secondary sale transactions, joint ventures, private mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and real estate acquisitions and financings.
In 2014, Gieger earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Vanderbilt University Law School, Order of the Coif. In 2010, he earned his B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and accounting.
Anthony Glenn is an associate in the Indianapolis office and is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Department. Glenn has experience counseling clients on a number of issues concerning both traditional labor and employment law, such as termination decisions, medical leave management, disability accommodation, workplace discrimination, and wage and hour issues, as well as union avoidance and management of a collective bargaining relationship. He also has experience with the litigation process in federal and state employment agencies and courts.
In 2013, Glenn earned his J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law; he earned his B.A. from Indiana University in 2010.
Monique A. Hannam is a staff attorney in the Indianapolis office and a member of the Litigation Department. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Hannam worked as an associate crown counsel for the Government of Jamaica, legal extern for the Office of the General Counsel at Meharry Medical College, and clerk for the Legal Aid Society of North Carolina.
After graduating from the University of the West Indies with an LL.B. in 2005, Hannam went on to earn her Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in Kingston, Jamaica, in 2007. In 2015, she earned her J.D. from the Vanderbilt University Law School and was awarded Order of the Coif.
