Charlie Denton and Alex Bandza will each participate in panel discussions at the Air & Waste Management Association’s Southern Section Conference in LaGrange, GA.

Charlie will present as part of a panel discussion, “PFAS Panel Strategic Roadmap Updates: Are We There Yet?” alongside
Steve Ellingson, an associate vice president at Shannon & Wilson, and Tim Fredericks, an environmental scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4. The panel will review key regulatory updates from EPA Region 4 and discuss waste management, air emissions, volatilization and remediation, and current analytical methods and forensics.

Alex will present as part of a panel discussion, “Reducing GHG Emissions in the Power and Other Sectors: What’s Happening, and Does the Future Look Bright?” alongside Rosa Chi, a permitting and policy manager at the Georgia Power Company, and Yi Chen, a project engineer at Geosyntec Consultants. In addition to discussing strategies and initiatives for transitioning the generation fleet towards low and no GHG resources, the panel will address what the end of Chevron and the “dawn” of the U.S. Supreme Court Decision in Loper Bright on judicial deference to agency interpretations means for GHG regulations at the federal level.
