Impact of EPA Regulating PFOA and PFOS as CERCLA Hazardous Substances

Jeff Longsworth presented to the TRS Group, Inc. as part of its Bringing the Heat webinar series. The title of the presentation was “Impact of EPA Regulating PFOA and PFOS as CERCLA Hazardous Substances,” discussing the implications of EPA’s proposed rule to add certain PFAS to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund). The presentation went into hot topics such as what the potentially significant affects are from EPA’s proposal on manufacturers, airports, municipalities, and farmers, and possible alternatives to EPA’s CERCLA approach.
