Contaminants

Earlier this year, Minnesota announced its PFAS Blueprint, a comprehensive plan to address PFAS chemicals in the state. PFAS, which is the shorthand way of referring to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a family of manmade chemicals that have had widespread applications in the manufacturing of consumer and industrial products and in firefighting activities over many decades.

The PFAS Blueprint will affect many types of businesses as well as municipalities and other public entities, even if they currently do not use PFAS or have not used it historically.
