OVERVIEW

Zachary Barron is a dedicated advocate, committed to achieving positive outcomes for and helping his clients navigate complex commercial litigation matters. He focuses on helping clients gather compelling case themes in high-stakes litigation and other adversarial settings.

Zach assists by drafting briefs, motions and memorandum and performing research on a range of legal issues, including antitrust, corporate governance, construction, intellectual property, insurance coverage, and securities. He researches novel legal issues and looks to provide targeted counsel on the most appropriate method of dispute resolution.

While earning his J.D., Zach was a judicial intern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Patricia Cohen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. He wrote drafts for cases involving searches and seizures, property rights, and disability claims for judicial opinions.

He also worked in the Washington University Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he provided counseling and legal assistance to startup and small businesses on protecting copyright, trademark, and trade secret rights. He also assisted in developing a program for the Skandalaris Center for Interdisciplinary Innovation and Entrepreneurship to teach aspiring entrepreneurs the fundamentals of intellectual property and business formation.

In addition, Zach is certified in SANS GIAC Information Security Fundamentals, which validates a practitioner's knowledge of computer functions and networking, introductory level cryptography, and cybersecurity technologies.

Before deciding to pursue a legal career, Zach spent several years with Backroads, an adventure travel company, in several different roles. He did everything from initiating and negotiating contracts and problem-solving with vendors to managing housing, trip and equipment logistics and warehouse operations in the U.S., the Netherlands and Belgium.
