On a day-to-day basis, Tom performs legal research, drafts discovery and motions, and represents clients in a wide range of litigation matters.
In addition, he currently serves as a member of the team assisting the special compliance coordinator appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor, assess and report on the U.S. export control compliance of Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation, of Shenzhen, China, and ZTE Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd. of Hi-New Shenzhen, China (collectively, ZTE).
He served as a summer associate and law clerk with the firm, as a legal extern with NiSource, Inc., and as a research assistant to two Notre Dame law professors before joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time.
Before attending law school, Tom taught middle school math with Teach for America in Detroit and worked for a regional insurance broker.
