Lauren drafts motions, complaints and answers, and conducts research on a range of commercial litigation, higher education and sorority and fraternity related issues. She works with clients on determining the best legal path forward when a dispute arises, whether through mediation, another alternative resolution or litigation.
After law school, Lauren joined Barnes & Thornburg and worked on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including those involving complex discovery, as well as college and university disputes. Lauren then clerked for the Honorable Elizabeth F. Tavitas of the Indiana Court of Appeals, where she assisted in drafting judicial opinions and memoranda spanning vast civil and criminal doctrinal areas.
She also was an intern for the Honorable Terry Wooten, chief district judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and a law clerk for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. During her third year of law school, she argued a habeas corpus case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago through the Notre Dame Seventh Circuit externship program.
Lauren values connection and giving back, and as such she spends her time outside of her practice volunteering with a number of collegiate, law school and community organizations.
