Jeff Morgan has a national dispute resolution practice focused on intellectual property litigation and strategy. He has litigated and tried patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret cases, and represented clients that range from small, closely held corporations to Fortune 100 companies.
Jeff has resolved complex claims involving a broad array of technologies. His experience ranges from mobile telephones, wireless networks, Voice over IP (VoIP), smartphone apps and image signal processing to race car technology, wide bandgap semiconductors, computer software and fiber optics to 3-D emulation video gaming, financial business methods and medical devices. He also has experience with nonwoven fiber materials, lasers used for cosmetic purposes, vinyl flooring, manufacturing equipment, and design patents, among others.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeff was a partner at Troutman Sanders LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP; a special assistant attorney general for the State of Georgia; and a special assistant district attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Jeff is appreciated by those around him for being respectful and trustworthy. He offers a no-nonsense approach to litigation, including giving candid advice regarding the strengths and weaknesses of their case.
Jeff has been published in a number of legal publications, including IPLaw 360, Recent Trends in Patent Infringement Lawsuits, Intellectual Property Litigation, Georgia Bar Journal, and the State Bar of Georgia’s Intellectual Property Law Section Newsletter, to name a few.
