David is a full-service litigator with experience at virtually every stage of litigation and arbitration, including document review, drafting of pleadings and dispositive motions, defending and taking depositions, witness examinations and appellate briefing. Clients and colleagues alike appreciate David’s ability to quickly and efficiently recognize the important issues in a case and to reach practical solutions to difficult matters.
David’s experience in nationwide tobacco arbitration included overseeing the review of tens of thousands of documents and culminated with his examination of multiple witnesses at the hearing on behalf of the state of Ohio. In addition, David’s litigation practice has involved cases in counties across Ohio and multiple federal courts. Particularly as it relates to his creditors’ rights practice, David also works closely with attorneys on the firm's Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring team.
David joined Barnes & Thornburg in 2014 after earning his law degree; while in law school, he gained experience as a law clerk for multiple firms, where he helped prepare cases for trials in both federal court and state court.
