Anne C. McGown is of counsel (retired) in the Litigation Department at Barnes & Thornburg's Indianapolis, Indiana office. Her litigation practice principally involves business and commercial litigation such as construction contract disputes, acquisition transaction disputes, accountant and appraisal malpractice cases, and other commercial cases involving claims for economic damages.

Anne received her B.S. in accounting with highest distinction from Indiana University at Indianapolis in 1976. She was in the top one percent of the business school graduates. In 1986, she was awarded her J.D. magna cum laude by Indiana University School of Law'Indianapolis.

Anne practiced for 10 years as a certified public accountant before entering the legal profession in 1987. She has accounting experience in both the private and the public sectors. She has been an adjunct instructor for the governmental accounting course at Indiana University's School of Public & Environmental Affairs.

Anne has also served as a mediator under Indiana's Rules for Alternate Dispute Resolution. She has presented seminars on financial statements, accounting systems, internal auditor litigation issues, and financial information used in litigation.

She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
