Barnes & Thornburg’s Washington, D.C., office has relocated to a new building and larger office space on the top floor of District Center at 555 12th Street N.W., Suite 1200. The new office is more than 35,000 square feet, an increase of 6,000 square feet from the previous space, to accommodate the firm’s continued expansion in the District.
“We are excited to have settled into our new office; not only is it a larger space, but we’re glad to have stayed in a prime location,” said Roscoe C. Howard Jr., Washington, D.C., office managing partner. “This new space has us well positioned near public transportation and in a vibrant government and business-focused area. We are thrilled to give our team a premier space where they can easily collaborate with and host clients.”
District Center, a joint venture between MetLife Investment Management and Norges Bank Investment Management, is a mixed-use smart building that spans an entire city block and is adjacent to the Metro Center station. The LEED Gold building has almost 800,000 square feet of premier office space, restaurants and retail.
The Washington, D.C., office’s move to larger space follows the recent expansion of the New York and Delaware offices and the opening of the Philadelphia and New Jersey offices, further enhancing the firm’s growth in the region.
