WASHINGTON, D.C. – An insider view of a presidential campaign and insight into what to expect the first 100 hundred days of the new administration were the subjects of an event hosted by the Washington, D.C., office of Barnes & Thornburg. The keynote speaker was the Director of Vice Presidential Operations, Marty Obst, a long-time close adviser to Vice President-elect Mike Pence, which was followed by a panel of Barnes & Thornburg partners sharing their insights on what to watch for in the first 100 days of the new administration. Robert Grand, the firm’s Managing Partner, introduced Obst. More than 180 attended the program on Nov. 30 at the House of Sweden in Washington, D.C.
Barnes & Thornburg partners who spoke and their topics were: Michael Battle and Roscoe Howard, white collar and corporate investigations; David Spooner, international trade; Laura Seng, healthcare; Rachel Lerman, U.S. Supreme Court; and Craig Burkhart and Eddie Ayoob, Congress. The firm’s Washington, D.C., office Managing Partner, Karen McGee, moderated the panel.

In addition, attendees heard from President-elect Trump’s transition team and representatives of regulated entities on what the new administration may bring.
