On Jan. 29, Katie Matsoukas of the Indianapolis office participated on a panel, moderated by Chris Lynch of the Minneapolis office, entitled "What Your Company's Executives Don't Know Can Hurt Them" at the 42nd annual seminar for the Minnesota chapter of the Risk Management Society (RIMS). The panel addressed the Responsible Corporate Officer or "Park" doctrine, which provides that senior executives and managers can be held criminally liable for regulatory violations even if they did not have knowledge of or involvement in the violations. Maureen Gorman, senior vice president at Marsh, also participated in the panel. The event was well attended and the panel fielded many questions.
