National Association of Credit Management

On May 22, Deb Thorne of the Chicago office spoke in Las Vegas at the National Association of Credit Management on Canadian and US supply contracts. She was joined by Canadian attorney Aubrey Kauffman of Fasten Martineau. Deb additionally presented at Credit Congress, where she assisted in a presentation for the American Bankruptcy Institute Commission on the Reform of Chapter 11. The Commission conducted a hearing at Credit Congress, in which senior credit professionals spoke on topics important to the vendor community, including preference recovery, Section 503(b)(9) of the Bankruptcy Code and creditors’ committees.
