Attorney Presentation - "Basics of U.S. Patents, Trademarks and Copyrights"

Mari Regnier and Mark Nahnsen of the Chicago office, along with Hiroshi Maruoka, the U.S. IP attaché for the Japan Patent Office, presented during an IP seminar hosted by Japan Extra Trade Organization (JETRO) Chicago. JETRO aims to support international trade between Japan and the rest of the world. In two locations, Chicago and Novi, Michigan, lecturers discussed the basics of U.S. patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as how a company should act in the case of infringement. The seminar in Novi was sponsored by the Japanese Business Society of Detroit (JBSD). More than 80 Japanese expats attended the seminars.
