During this year’s American Bar Association (ABA) Federal Regulation of Securities Committee Winter Meeting, Barnes & Thornburg’s partner, Jay Knight, current chair of the committee, will interview Gary Gensler, the chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The fireside chat will focus on securities law developments and recent topics of interest, and will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. The two-day in-person meeting, put on by the ABA Business Law Section, begins on Dec. 6.
Jay is co-chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Securities and Capital Markets Practice Group and served five years in the SEC Division of Corporation Finance. He and Elizabeth Gray, co-chair of the ABA’s Civil Litigation and SEC Enforcement Matters Joint Subcommittee, will lead the discussion.
