Priya is skilled in legal research, analysis and virtually all forms of litigation-related drafting, including pleadings, dispositive motions and discovery requests/responses. Additionally, her experience includes representing clients both in court and at depositions and analyzing complex product liability and IP matters. Priya also has experience managing large-scale discovery using e-discovery software.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Priya defended a diverse array of product liability and toxic tort matters as an attorney with two Chicago law firms in their litigation practice groups.
In law school, Priya diligently represented clients as a student attorney for the Innocence Project and Clemency Project though the University of Minnesota Law School.
Priya earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from The Johns Hopkins University. She went on to use her knowledge of the brain and behavior in her work as a research project manager in the University of Chicago’s Biological Sciences Division and Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. With a Master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University, Priya has several published research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Outside of the law, Priya is an avid New York sports fan and a tennis player. She finds the most joy in spending time with her husband and toddler.
