As an experienced patent agent, Lisa offers her clients patent drafting and prosecution service, using her deep technical background in microbiology, virology, molecular biology, genetics, computational biology, bioinformatics, pathogenesis, plant biology, evolutionary biology and ecology to compliment her 5+ years of experience. She also assists in patent landscape and freedom-to-operate searches.
Prior to joining the firm, Lisa was a patent agent at an AmLaw 20 firm, where she assisted clients with drafting and prosecuting life science patent applications, with a particular emphasis in biotechnology and agriculture clients. Additionally, Lisa received her Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Minnesota where she studied how bacterial viruses affect complex microbial communities. Before graduate school, Lisa studied the molecular genetics of Lyme disease-causing bacteria at the National Institute of Health’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory and Northwest prairie pollination dynamics.
