Barnes & Thornburg Recognized for ‘Tipping the Scales’ By Diversity & Flexibility Alliance

As part of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s 2021 New Partner Report, Barnes & Thornburg has been recognized for “Tipping the Scales” toward gender parity. This recognition is given to law firms that have 50 percent or more women in their 2021 U.S.-based new partner class.

The report researched nearly 200 law firms and only 67 of those firms received the “Tipping the Scales” recognition. Barnes & Thornburg was recognized during the Diversity and Flexibility Alliance’s Annual Conference that took place virtually on Nov. 3, 2021.

The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance is a leading Washington, D.C., think tank dedicated to helping organizations create inclusive cultures that leverage flexibility to attract and retain top talent.

The organization releases a New Partner Report annually that examines public data from law firms. The report specifically looks at the gender breakdown of attorneys hired by law firms and promoted to partnership in U.S. offices.

With more than 700 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, Boston, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Ohio, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
