Clifford Shapiro of the Chicago office was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry being held in New Orleans on April 10-12.
Clif spoke on April 10 before more than 500 attendees at a plenary session about the difficult issues that can arise when construction defects are discovered during the course of a construction project. One topic Clif addressed in detail is the emerging issue about the use of random sampling and extrapolation evidence to prove a systemic defect and whether such evidence is required to be included in an engineering report to meet the Daubert standards for expert testimony.
