Navigating the Miscellaneous Legal Aspects in Your Events, Exhibitions and Contracts

Norma Zeitler and Barbara Dunn presented a webinar, “Navigating the Miscellaneous Legal Aspects in Your Events, Exhibitions and Contracts,” for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. Webinar participants represented a variety of stakeholder organizations across the meetings and trade show industries including organizers, venues and service providers. Topics addressed included diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and policies for trade shows in order to foster a welcoming environment, as well as Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act as it relates to places of public accommodation such as hotels and convention centers. Norma and Barbara shared a variety of best practices for trade show organizers in order to comply with the laws and also to fulfil the spirit of DEI and creating a welcoming environment.
