2024 Public Company Shareholder Engagement Summit
On Sept. 6, 2024, Barnes & Thornburg, Vanderbilt Law School’s Law and Business Program, National Association of Corporate Directors–Nashville (NACD) and Vanderbilt University’s Hans Stoll Financial Markets Research Center co-hosted the inaugural Public Company Shareholder Engagement Summit.
As part of the complimentary event, David Hooper, partner and co-chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Securities and Capital Markets practice group, moderated a practical discussion on shareholder activism with Christopher C. Eck, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, Authentix, Inc., Ann Lipton, Professor in Business Law, Tulane Law School, Michael Levin, The Activist Investor, and Tiffany Posil, Chief, Office of Mergers and Acquisitions at U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
