Wali helps real estate owners, developers and other industry players to negotiate real estate agreements, close transactions and obtain required construction approvals. He also advises builders and contractors on construction law matters such as contract drafting, project management and risk reduction.

As a skilled trial lawyer, Wali has represented clients and litigated cases throughout Delaware’s federal, state and specialty courts in various specialized areas of real estate including condemnation and eminent domain litigation, construction defect disputes, complex landlord-tenant disputes, quiet title actions, real property partition actions, specific performance actions, housing discrimination suits, property assessment appeals, real property foreclosures and sheriff’s sales.
Prior to joining the firm, Wali was a transactional real estate and complex civil litigation attorney at an AmLaw 100 firm in Wilmington, representing Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. He worked on land use and commercial real estate transactions, as well as construction litigation and real estate litigation. During law school, Wali participated in an externship for the Honorable Karen Williams of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Before his legal career, Wali was a federal caseworker for U.S. Sen. Thomas R. Carper and interned for the Delaware Attorney General Office.
Wali is a strong believer in giving back to the Delaware community and dedicates considerable time to civic causes related to public education, health equity and affordable housing. He also prioritizes mentoring young people – particularly aspiring lawyers from diverse backgrounds. Wali regularly represents juveniles in Family Court as a guardian ad litem and is a founding committee member for the Delaware Bar Association’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast and Statewide Day of Service.
