Delaware’s Court of Chancery is a court of equity with specific jurisdiction over corporate disputes, making Delaware the center for national and international corporate law issues. With the Complex Commercial Litigation Division (CCLD) of Delaware Superior Court, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the many patent, copyright and trademark disputes filed in the U.S. District Court of Delaware, important business disputes and legal issues that govern commerce in the U.S. are often decided in the state.
