A passionate advocate and avid team player, Dana Amato Sarros is dedicated to identifying and analyzing the legal issues associated with a wide variety of commercial litigation claims, ranging from contract disputes to trademark and unfair competition actions. Dana focuses her practice on the resolution of commercial and complex civil litigation. She has been involved in an array of claims and high-profile litigation matters and assists with all stages of the dispute resolution process.
Dana offers particular experience with motion practice, written and oral discovery, settlement negotiation, and oral argument. Notably, Dana has cultivated significant skills in e-discovery; specifically, overseeing document collection and review, developing search terms, and conducting custodian interviews. She has also assisted at jury trials, including drafting dispositive motions, preparing witnesses for testimony, and crafting trial strategy.
Dana works on client teams for businesses and major brands that are household names. She is valued not only for her meticulous attention to detail when it comes to legal research and analysis, but also for her strong command of the Federal Rules of Evidence and legal insight into complex issues. Responsive and willing to go the extra mile, Dana is dedicated to ensuring claims are managed effectively.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Dana was a summer associate in the Chicago office. In addition to her time at Barnes & Thornburg, she gained valuable experience as an intern with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, representing clients in juvenile court for the Bluhm Legal Clinic Children and Family Justice Center, and as an extern for the Honorable Harry Leinenweber of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
