In her third decade of supporting all stages of patent prosecution, Michele Capozzi is committed to providing effective paralegal assistance to the firm’s attorneys and clients. She remains dedicated to acting as an important team member throughout the patent process – from management and administration to preparing documentation and helping with docketing to final approval.
Michele assists with the preparation of patent applications and all relevant documents to be filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She also prepares amendments, Information Disclosure Statements, appeal briefs, restriction requirements requests for continued examination (RCEs), and delivers honed skill in docketing.
In addition, Michele is adept in managing foreign patent offices and in preparing Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications and written opinions. Michele frequently serves as a liaison between the firm’s intellectual property attorneys and clients.
Detail-oriented and highly motivated, Michele handles complex patent issues and effective oversight of filings on a global scale. She draws upon her many years of experience, legal and business acumen, and strong communication skills to strengthen the firm’s relationships with clients and to support the team to tackle the patent prosecution process in real time.
