Mark T. Kindelin Partner
Mark currently serves as chair of the firm’s Financial Institutions practice group, which harnesses collective resources across all offices in intellectual property, tax, financial services, information technology and security law to fully support the industry. For more than three decades, Mark has advised banks on capital raising transactions, mergers and acquisitions, operational issues and corporate matters. He is skilled in overcoming the challenges associated with the development of new products, rendering practical advice when negotiating and closing customer, technology and outsourcing agreements. He also advises on Uniform Commercial Code and regulatory matters, as well as on the technical issues that drive development.
In addition, Mark provides broad corporate representation to businesses at all stages of growth. He maintains a vibrant, active general corporate and transactional practice, and applies his many years of experience to support clients in realizing their commercial and transactional objectives. Mark is adept in counseling myriad clients on a wide range of commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions, both domestic and European, for public, private and emerging companies. On many occasions, he is called upon to serve as his client’s outside general counsel.
He is a frequent speaker on topics affecting the financial services industry, most recently at the Windy City Summit, and has presented sections on venture capital and emerging company topics at DePaul University and The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.
Mark is active in the community supporting nonprofit organizations and as a mentor.
