In her former role as professional responsibility counsel, Linda was involved in reviewing and approving new business matters, due diligence initiatives for legal and lateral candidates, and drafting and reviewing conflict waivers, engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines and other documents to ensure ethical compliance. She also advised on licensure, bar admission, and continuing legal education.
Diplomacy and the innate ability to address the specific needs of a wide range of legal professionals was at the heart of Linda’s commitment to those she served. Linda focused on knowing her audience and understanding and encouraging each attorney’s strengths while helping them to be more effective service providers.
An avid team-player, Linda believes in collaboration and building cohesive, supportive teams on all fronts. Hard-working and appreciated for her poise, Linda offered the unwavering drive and communication skill needed to bring critical professional responsibility and ethics considerations to attorneys practicing across the firm.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Linda practiced in the insurance defense field and served as in-house counsel for two insurance companies. She is a chartered property and casualty underwriter. In addition, Linda is also a former chief counsel of the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission and was previously a deputy prosecutor in Indianapolis.
