ATLANTA –Barnes & Thornburg’s Atlanta office has moved to 3340 Peachtree Road, where it will occupy the top two floors of Tower Place 100 under a 13-year lease. The new space in Buckhead is 36,000 square feet, an increase of more than 6,000 square feet for the rapidly growing law firm.
The Class A office space was gutted and built out to specifications designed by architecture firm ASD|SKY to provide collaborative professional workspaces to promote mentoring and in-person teamwork. There are several adjustable walls that create open spaces to host events. The space also includes a café that provides a mixture of open seating and independent workspaces.
The firm has called Buckhead home since opening the office in 2009. “Our team has doubled in size over the past three years and this new space shows our commitment to continued growth in the Atlanta market,” said John T.L. Koenig, the Atlanta office managing partner. “We are excited to be in this marquee space with sweeping, 360-degree views of the city. It will be a great place for our lawyers and professional staff to work and for us to host clients and community partners.”
Barnes & Thornburg currently has over 80 attorneys and other professionals in its Atlanta office. It was identified by Atlanta Business Chronicle as the second fastest-growing law firm in Atlanta. The Atlanta office has also been named to Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Best Places to Work” list for three consecutive years.
In developing the new lease agreement, the firm worked with Savills brokers John Flack, David Rubinstein and Bo Keatley.
The move to larger space comes on the heels of continued expansion for the firm, which recently opened new offices in Philadelphia and New Jersey, with office expansions taking place this year in its New York and Delaware offices as well as Washington, D.C., in early 2023.
With more than 800 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from offices in Atlanta, Boston, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Texas and Washington, D.C.
