Intellectual Property Essentials for the Non-IP Lawyer

Felicia Boyd of the Minneapolis office gave two presentations at the Minnesota CLE's "Intellectual Property Essentials for the Non-IP Lawyer" course on April 8. Felicia's first presentation was titled "Copyright Essentials: Know your Toolbox." The presentation reviewed core copyright principles and the risks associated with not protecting business copyrights, as well as the risks of not respecting the copyrights of others. Felicia's second presentation, "The Magnificent 7: Seven Key IP Issues on the Internet," reviewed common intellectual property issues that stem from the use (and misuse) of the Internet, including the risks associated with hyperlinking, forwarding emails, content generation and more.
