Georgia Studio & Infrastructure Alliance (GSIA) hosted the “Post-Production Workgroup” – the first of a series of discussions to be held throughout the year focusing on the film post-production industry. Misty Holcomb, who serves as the executive director of GSIA, moderated the virtual event and Steve Weizenecker presented an overview of Georgia’s current entertainment tax credits. Industry panelists for the virtual event included GSIA members Chris LeDoux of Crafty Apes, Drew Sawyer of Moonshine Post, Alex Brownley of Sim, and Billy Gabor of Company 3. The group also discussed key provisions of the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act (the Film Tax Credit) and HB 199, which provided a standalone post-production credit with its passage in 2017, and changes in the post-production industry and its continuing growth in Georgia.
