Tune into the second installment of our town hall series on race, brought to you by BTBEmpowered, Barnes & Thornburg’s Talent Resource Group created to champion and empower our Black and African-American talent. This time around, Barnes & Thornburg welcomes music legend and author, Dr. Mathew Knowles. Dr. Knowles will discuss his book, Racism from the Eyes of A Child, growing up in the “Jim Crow South,” and navigating racial injustice within the music industry and beyond, and will also provide tips for us on what we can each do to combat systemic racism. The program will be moderated by BTBEmpowered co-lead, A. Elizabeth Underwood, an associate in our Fort Wayne office.
After the discussion with Dr. Knowles, group conversations will continue within virtual breakout rooms.
The first 25 people to register for this event will receive a copy of Dr. Knowles' latest book, “Racism From The Eyes of a Child.”
The event will feature a Q&A session. You may submit questions when you register.
This program is open to anyone who is interesting in the topic of navigating race in America.
