  • Represented a sports company in the formation of a $400 million investment vehicle to raise financing to complete the acquisition of a majority interest in a cricket team in the Indian Premier League.
  • Advised a Mumbai-based asset manager on general regulatory matters, U.S. fund formation, the establishment of a U.S. subsidiary, and a private placement to U.S. investors of interests in an alternative investment fund located in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City.
  • Represented an Indian textile manufacturing company in settlement payment disputes and collections matters with a buyer of its clothing products in the U.S.
  • Represented a consumer brand company based in the UK and India in connection with its acquisition of a U.S. brand business.
  • Represented an Indian company specializing in clean energy technology in the formation of a U.S. subsidiary.
  • Represented a major Indian public sector bank in multiple investigations by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) regarding compliance with economic sanctions administered by OFAC.
  • Represented a global payments company in connection with investigations by various Indian regulatory and law enforcement authorities relating to tax, foreign exchange, and money laundering allegations.
  • Represented a global engineering company in connection with U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) investigations into allegations of potential improper payments in India.
  • Conducted an independent investigation into allegations of bribery and corruption at various locations across India on behalf of a global information technology and outsourcing company.
  • Represented the former CEO of an India-based technology company in connection with DOJ and SEC investigations into allegations of potential improper payments in India.
  • Advised an India-based life sciences company in connection with a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) inquiry. 
  • Advised and represented Indian companies establishing U.S. subsidiaries with securing L-1 visas and permanent residency for multinational transfers.
