Ryu represents strategic and financial buyers and sellers in M&A transactions across a range of industries. His transactional experience spans venture capital-backed emerging growth companies through international conglomerates, and he brings significant experience advising on cross-border deals — working with buyers based in Asia and Europe and sellers with substantial operations in those regions.

In addition to his M&A practice, Ryu counsels startups and emerging growth companies at every stage of their development, from formation and financings through eventual exits. He regularly works with venture capital funds, growth equity investors, and strategic investors on equity investments and joint ventures. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ryu served as counsel in the M&A and venture capital group of an Am Law 100 firm.
