He defends medical device and pharmaceutical clients in complex commercial disputes and multidistrict litigation (MDL). He also has experience litigating tort, breach of contract, and other commercial and corporate litigation actions.
Jake assists medical device product manufacturers in nearly all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing pleadings, engaging in the discovery process, and taking and defending fact witness depositions. He has also participated in successful pre- and post-suit dispute resolution negotiations involving product defect allegations.
In addition, Jake represents a broad range of clients across multiple industries in complex general commercial litigation in state and federal court and in arbitration proceedings.
During law school, Jake was a judicial intern for the Honorable A. Joe Fish at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and for the Honorable Amos L. Mazzant at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Catharina Haynes at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
