Alicia’s litigation experience is not constrained by subject matter. Her experience ranges from patent litigation, trade secret and non-compete litigation, antitrust, unfair competition, contract disputes, and business tort cases, to eminent domain litigation, catastrophic injury and death cases, consumer fraud matters, and white collar criminal matters. Alicia represents individual and business clients in state and federal courts throughout the country.
Alicia brings order to large, complex matters. Notably, Alicia has served as litigation counsel for large electric transmission line projects involving the acquisition of utility easements through eminent domain, where she was responsible for hundreds of lawsuits filed in more than a dozen courts.
Outside the courtroom, Alicia concentrates her practice on antitrust counseling, compliance and internal investigations, building teams that mobilize quickly to digest information, identify customized solutions and implement strategies that advance the business objectives of her clients.
Alicia represents and advises clients concerning potential antitrust issues with proposed mergers and acquisitions in Hart-Scott-Rodino filings before the Federal Trade Commission and United States Department of Justice. She conducts market definition and competitive impact analyses and responds to civil investigative demands and subpoenas for documents and testimony.
Alicia served on the attorney team assisting partner Larry Mackey, the independent corporate compliance monitor for a large U.S. medical device manufacturer and distributor, pursuant to the company's deferred prosecution agreements with the U.S. government.
She currently serves as a member of the team assisting the special compliance coordinator appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor, assess and report on the U.S. export control compliance of Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation, of Shenzhen, China, and ZTE Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd. of Hi-New Shenzhen, China (collectively, ZTE).
Bottom line, Alicia is a dynamic, multifaceted advocate who brings all of her skills to bear to ensure her clients are well represented inside and outside the courtroom.
Beyond her practice, Alicia serves as the Dallas hiring partner and a member of the firm’s Racial Justice Committee. She is dedicated to developing and advancing the careers of the next generation of attorneys.
