A former paralegal, Cony is a passionate advocate for her clients. Her experience includes helping draft Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) decisions and responses, and to conduct research on trademark, patent, copyright, and trade dress.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time, she was a summer associate and a law clerk for the firm and drafted responses to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) office actions, conducted research, and drafted memoranda related to IP and litigation matters.
Cony was a criminal defense, family law, and personal injury paralegal for firms in Chicago and Salt Lake City and, as a native of Mexico who is fluent in Spanish, was a volunteer intern for Latinos Progresando in Chicago.
